MOUNTAIN SONG FESTIVAL IS GREEN!
Environmental Responsibility has never been a trend for Mountain Song Festival. We have been a community leader and an example for other events in reducing waste with an extensive recycling effort thanks to dedicated community volunteers and the cooperation of our food vendors who serve on compostable ware so that everything can be recycled or composted. We captured over 80% of total waste last year and this year we are aiming for 100%.This will take the cooperation of all of us in this effort. We encourage all in attendance at the festival to participate in our efforts by following our policies and if you have to bring something (we have great food and drink at Mountain Song) please recycle it. We have stations set up conveniently around the venue with multiple receptacles for every type of recyclable or food waste.

Mountain Song Festival was inspired by our youth. It will help fund the Boys and Girls Club of Transylvania County and also facilitate educational opportunities for children and adults.

The Venue-Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium (don't worry if it rains)
The Brevard Music Center is home to this beautiful 1800 seat "covered,open-air auditorium. This is the main stage for Mountain Song. Nestled into a beautiful cove with Pisgah National Forest as a backdrop, Whittington-Pfohl has hosted great artists like Ricky Skaggs, Del McCoury and Emmy Lou Harris.
